As background, for the past 12+ years, photographer Jeff Harris has been snapping one photo of himself each and every day.
However, highlights of his photo montage (captured in the video below) are truly unique compared to the tired “self-portrait-a-day” genre. Harris purposed to make every image unique, active, provocative, artistic – plus a host of other adjectives – with the sole intent of maximizing every picture.
Here’s a quote from Harris who was recently interviewed by Time magazine’s LightBox, “I didn’t want 365 images of me sitting on the couch each day. There could have been that tendency, especially during the cold dark winter months to stay inside all the time, but this project inspired me to get out there and seek out interesting things.”
This video is guaranteed to inspire because we find our that Harris ends up facing a crippling disease, that barely slows him down. This video has lingered with me for days after viewing it – I hope it has a similar impact on you!
Question: After watching the video I’m inspired to live each day or “photo” to the fullest – did it have that same effect on you?
