Last Monday I was recruited into the Second Annual Blogging All-Star Challenge.
Our team (Team Ricky) was a ragtag, hodge podge of scrappy bloggers that was assembled as a type of sacrificial speed bump to the team of blogging royalty (Team Rob) we were assigned to face.
If you’re bored out of your mind with nothing to do, you can check out the blogs and bios of all the blogging combatants at the site of Rob Shepard who conceptualized the blogging showdown. [EdiTOR's Note: Thanks Rob!]
When it was all said and done – Team Ricky (the team I was on) won:
- Of the 1,310 votes cast Team Ricky received 715 (55%) while Team Rob secured 595 (45%).
The readers of The Daily ReTORt assisted in the win – and I’m grateful for that.
Now I have some swagger and in-your-face bragging rights next time I see some of those hoity toity Team Robians.
I’d like to share the spoils of victory with each of you who voted – but the spoils are non-existent. Perhaps next year the losers should endure some humiliating deed to make the challenge a bit more interesting.
Oh well, at least we can all say that at least one election this year broke our way – because I don’t think I’ll like either outcome of Obama vs. Romney.
Question: What should the losers of next year’s blogging challenge have to do?
