Thanks to everyone who entered to win the extremely generous, yet random, $5.37 cash prize for the inaugural “Caption This” Contest.
I don’t think anyone on the Internet has ever come up with such an idea before of captioning random photos (that might be a complete lie – not sure).
Regardless, each of you were an integral part of this history-making Internet event!
Unfortunately, as the original Highlander movie taught us all – “There can be only one!” – (and by that I mean one winner).
After much deliberation and consultation with comedic experts around the globe (if you haven’t noticed I’m prone to hyperbole) a winner has been selected for last week’s “Caption This” Contest and that winner is Jarrett Humphries - see his caption below.
Congratulations to the victor – who can message me at Facebook or on Twitter with an appropriate email address to send the incredible $5.37 cash prize via Paypal (or as an Amazon e-gift card).
For everyone else who didn’t win last week’s “Caption This” Contest – take heart because it’s time for another round.
Here are the rules!
On Fridays I’ll post some kind of amusing, ironic or ambiguous photo that you’re then invited to develop a caption for in the comment section below.
- Captions will be accepted until the following Friday image is posted, at which time I’ll announce the previous week’s winner.
- The creator of the funniest, caption will receive an Amazon e-gift card for the princely sum of $5.37.
- You can enter as many times as you’d like, but each entry must be a separate comment.
As background, why such a randomly specific amount you ask???
I allowed my 8-year old the option of setting the prize amount – up to $10.00 – and $5.37 was the number she chose (go figure).
